MOVING YOUR NOTEBOOK

A new address.
Your own backup.

JotHarbour now lives at jotharbour.ronalchand.chatgpt.site. Notes are stored in your browser for the address where you created them. They do not automatically move to a different address.

If you have a notebook backup

1. Open the notebook at the new address.
2. Choose Open in the notebook menu and select your exported .inknest.json file.
3. Confirm your pages, drawings, reference text and solution sheets appear. Import adds to existing work.
4. Export a fresh backup from the new notebook. Keep the earlier backup until you have checked it.

If your notes are still at an earlier address

Earlier browser addresses now forward to jotharbour.com. To open an earlier notebook for export, use its original /workspace/ address with ?legacy=1 appended. This bypass is for accessing that browser’s earlier local notebook; it is not an account login.

Open the original notebook in the browser or previously installed app where you wrote them, then choose Export. Import that file at the new address using the steps above. The backup format remains compatible, including files with the earlier InkNest name.

If the earlier installed app has cached offline files, you may be able to open it offline and export. That depends on the browser and a completed earlier cache. If you cannot open it, email jotharbour.support@gmail.com before clearing any site data. The publisher does not hold a server copy of your notes.

Installed apps and offline use

Open the new notebook online and wait for Offline files ready. Install or add the new address to your home screen if you prefer. The earlier shortcut may still point to an earlier address. Only remove it or clear its storage after checking your backup and imported notebook.
